The purpose of this page is to give contact details of surgeons who have provided a good service to other patients and are therefore recommended by them. All surgeons/dental surgeons here are noted for adherence to internationally accepted protocols of good practice including appropriate positioning of bands. They also only offer surgery if it is appropriate and will not agree to operate on anyone simply for having the means to pay.

Do not consider travelling abroad for surgery unless you have made adequate provision for local follow-up upon your return. You should remain near to your surgeon at least 24 hours after discharge following a gastric band. The cost may not be as competitive when you consider travel expense and hotels. In this case, it is advisable to have a consultation in your home country to enable you to make a fair and realistic comparison.
