My name is Les Houpt, and I make no apologies about it: I really enjoy much of the look, feel, and atmosphere of what many call "The Good 'Ol Days". The decades in America from the 1930's- to 1960's prior to the degredation of culture at Woodstock. Time when people believed in God, attended church regularly, commonly took a walk down the street (because it was safe) sat on the front porch, greeted neighbors with a warm smile, and the fashion, music and culture that I just think was and still is, classic. This area of my site is dedicated to a little bit of what I have found on the web that celebrates these things.
I need to explain one thing first though. I was born on November 14, 1960. So, I actually never had first-hand experience living in these years. And it wasn't until I was in my thirties that I really began to appreciate these times. I hope you find these bits and links as exciting, cool, and some as funny as I do. Mind you, some of these are parodies and gags, some serious, but all for your enjoyment. Please e mail me if you have stumbled upon my site and have comments, suggestions or know of other websites I can provide links to. Thanks and have a Blessed Day!- -Les Houpt
