Alison is a Nutritional Therapist with many years experience working with a wide variety of health conditions. She works in private practice set in the beautiful countryside of South Shropshire, at Breast Cancer Haven in Hereford.
She is a member of B.A.N.T (British Association of Nutritional Therapists) a registered practioner with N.T.C (Nutritional Therapy Council) and a member of The Candida Society and Nutripeople She regularly gives talks and runs workshops and has been involved in healthy eating exhibitions and campaigns in South Shropshire.
Alison originally worked in the agricultural industry following an M.Sc. in Animal Nutrition. When Nutritional Therapy dramatically improved the health of her daughter she decided to study for a Diploma in Clinical Nutrition. Since then she has enjoyed helping people regain their health and energy by working with them to make dietary change. A supplement programme is suggested if indicated during a consultation and functional testing is used if necessary. She works with the patient to ensure the recommended protocol is realistic and achievable and she encourages people to eat as naturally and locally as possible and to enjoy a wide a variety of foods.
She updates her knowledge regularly by undertaking a CPD programme and she treats a wide range of conditions ranging from digestive problems to stress. She also has a special interest in supporting cancer patients through their treatment and she has recently qualified as a NES practioner.
