Sheffield-Live is based in Sheffield South Yorkshire and is one of a few internet radio stations in the UK. It is our intention to broadcast programmes of interest to other Radio Amateurs or Short Wave Listeners. We are already streaming the DX net live every night and other operations around the bands, you hear what we hear, when we hear it!
2009 and were bringing back our outside broadcasting team, Sheffield live also broadcasts live from around the city from various venues. Music and Quizes are broadcast live - you can listen by clicking the "On Air" button and following the instructions from Live 365. See some of the venues we operate from and join the fun by sending your answers in ( for fun only no prize is available over the web).
When not broadcast live music we run items of interest to Radio Amateurs here on the web site and I hope our articles will contain a range of interesting,informative or even amusing items from time to time. For this not to be just another Internet Radio site - it needs your input! So if you would like to record a show on tape, midi or even on CD please do and then send it to me (I'm ok on QRZ.com), I will upload it to the server where it will run until I take it off again! It can be as long or as short as you like and all I ask is that you record it in at least 4 sections per hour so if your show is 30 minutes long then record it in two halves please!
M0SDC is our new club callsign and can be heard on the bands on a regular basis, the clubs activities are mostly aimed at DX hunting but many of our members enjoy contesting and take part in many contests throughout the year.
