Dear Friends,
 
I hope you found Lent a time for reflection and a time for a spring clean in the religious sense.
 
By the time you read this Easter itself will be upon us as we celebrate again the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The story continues with the coming Ascension and then his leaving us with his Spirit in Pentecost.
 
In Parish terms it seems that the planning application for the old VT site has been received by the City Council.  I,  with others, will strive to be involved in the continuing discussions over the use of the site, whose future will not only affect the 'new' community on that site but the existing Woolston community as well.
 
In other news we have Confirmation coming up in June.  If anyone is interested in being confirmed or wants more information please see or ring me.
 
We have a few social events coming up including a Jumble/ Table Top Sale in the Institute on Sunday 19^th April and Parish Skittles on May 2^nd.  Please ring Faye Beech on 80449611 for further details of the above.  There is also a Wives' Group Quiz in the Institute on April 4^th.
 
There are a number of things for our younger readers and residents.  These include our Children's Workshop on April 8^th at 10:00am to 3:00pm in the Centre and Children's Party on April 18^th 6-8pm.  Please ring Vicky Atkinson 80431499 (pre-booking essential)
 
Our Super Fun Club meets once a month on March 30^th and April 27^th 10:00am - 11:00am in the Centre.  Please ring Anne Gerrard on 80448194 for details.
 
Finally, an advance notice, we are pleased, in May, to be launching our 'Mini Marks', an activity fun club for 0-5years.  For details please contact Teresa on 80391491 or Karen on 80448970.
 
As you see, we have a great variety of events for every age and interest so come along and see.
