The Stoke City South West Supporters Club AGM will take place on Friday 25th March at the Dog in Old Sodbury. All members are welcome - the meeting itself should be fairly brief, followed by drinks (we've picked a non-Stoke-match Friday so no-one need worry about getting up the following day. First drink for each me...mber is on the club!). The Dog does have accommodation for anyone worried about not getting home

The club will be running a subsidised minibus or coach to the penultimate home game of the season against Arsenal (currently on Sat 7th May). The plan is to get to Stoke reasonably early and leave a few hours after the final whistle so that there's plenty of drinking and socialising time to be had. Please let us kno...w if you're provisionally interested so that we can inform you of finalised costs and timings.

We're very keen on interacting as much as possible with all the members of the South West Supporters Club. While we believe that you all benefit from a fantastic ticket and travel service, we would welcome any thoughts, comments, suggestions or constructive criticism as to how the club could be improved. Please get in touch!

There's also a group of us planning a long weekend in Blackpool to coincide with the away game there on 30th April - while not strictly a social (as it's not in the South West), we're certainly working on the basis of the-more-the-merrier so if you're going to be there and fancy meeting up just drop us a line.

Other social events on the horizon include a booze cruise (boat trip) in Bristol on 2nd July. Again, please provisionally let us know if you might be interested and we'll get back to you with more concrete details a bit nearer the time.

It won't be very long until we're asking for your vote for player of the season. For those of you who aren't aware, the player who gets the most votes is awarded a trophy by the club on the pitch at the final match of the season. The name of the person chosen to do that presentation is drawn from all those who voted... so there is definitely an added incentive to get involved!
