Deeside Divers

Deeside Sub-Aqua Club, BSAC906 is the dive club of which I’m a member, there are approx. 40 members & we own a 5.8m RIB. Diving takes place every weekend, weather permitting & some evenings through the week in the summer. New members are always welcome, whether you are a BSAC member or have trained with another agency, we have a few members not affiliated to BSAC. Current members range from BSAC Ocean Divers to open circut Trimix divers & closed circut Inspiration divers. If you have never dived before we can provide you with instructors to teach you.

ARI Hyperbaric

Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Hyperbaric Medicine Unit is probably the finest in the UK, due to the offshore oil industry being based in the North East of Scotland. I have seen their set up at close hand & met some of the staff, thankfully though I never needed the use of their chamber. This is a very informative & interesting site, well worth a visit

Aberdeen Watersports

Aberdeen Watersports is one of two dive shops in Aberdeen; their web site has a lot of very interesting articles worth reading. It is a well-stocked shop with easy parking, air fills to 300bar along with Nitrox & Trimix. They also run a RIB shuttle service covering the North East of Scotland, but as I’ve never used this service I am unable to comment.

Buchan Divers

Peterhead Sub-Aqua Club has a really cool web site; it is packed with interesting facts & information on diving in the North East of Scotland. It is one of the best diving web sites I’ve seen.

Burgsac

Burghead Sub Aqua Club who are based on the Moray coastline have a site all about diving in the Moray Firth. There is excellent diving here with very favourable visibility, I cannot recommend the diving here highly enough.

Ian Pottens Site

Ian’s site contains information & lots of outstanding pictures of diving around Wick, Orkney & Shetland, well worth a look.

Jacksac

Jacksac is a small BSAC club of very experienced technical divers who specialise in diving deep Scottish wrecks using Tri-mix & Buddy Inspiration rebreathers. Their site has some very interesting info on wrecks in Scotland

Ocean Watersports

Ocean Watersports are one of two dive shops in Aberdeen. Centrally located they provide both air & nitrox fills. OWS is a PADI 5 star IDC centre & organise several weekend & week long trips throughout the year both home & abroad.

UKRS

UK rec scuba has an interesting site with absolutely all the diving links you could ever need, well worth a visit. It also runs the best newsgroups I have visited if you are into that sort of thing.

Hellsmouth

Hellsmouth Diving, hosted by Davy Carter,is an informative web site of dive sites in Caithness in the far north of Scotland, I have not dived there myself but have been assured it can be very rewarding

Gas Diving UK

Gas Diving UK is a site full of information that can help the sport & technical diver alike with types of kit & configurations. They are very helpful & answer any questions you have in detail.

Tiggys Dive Site

This is a well-presented site all about diving by a friend of mine called Chystianne. There are reports about her diving, local & abroad, plus reports & pictures from all over by some of her friends, well worth a look.

Underwater Photgraphy

John Liddiard Underwater Photography is an outstanding site packed with terrific photos & information of world wide dive locations, a few articles on Scottish wreck sites with detailed maps of the wrecks & some really nice photos. This site is a great place to plan future dive trips both home & abroad.
