HEALTHFUL EATING
ON THE GO
By Marlene
R. Fedin, The Wellness Concierge®
If you want the energy and
stamina to survive life on the road, you'll need to do one crucial
thing: Make Eating a Priority!
That's advice that many frequent travelers fail to heed, often with
unexpectedly unpleasant results. (Trust me. You don't want to find
yourself begging for bagels from a closed airport-shop vendor or a
fellow traveler. I've done it and it's just one of the uglier things you
could find yourself doing when you realize that 1) you are, to your
horror, ravenously hungry despite being totally disinterested as you
passed numerous shops laden with food just ten minutes ago (the same
restaurants that are now either out of food or closed) and 2) due to
circumstances beyond your control, it appears that you are not
going to be eating in the air, at your destination, or, alas, in the
airport.
"Healthy eating" on the road is not, despite the protests of many, an
oxymoron. It is possible to eat well and as needed—provided you plan
ahead.
This page will
feature survival strategies, dining options, and more to encourage
regular and healthy food breaks!

eating!"
If anyone can help you understand
the importance of food as fuel for your body and life, it's
Landis, who eschews dieting and fasting in favor of a healthy,
direct, and real-life approach to everyday eating.
