Remember that if you do alter individual graphic elements such as the color or font, and you then later change a theme element used by this graphic, the theme change will override the individual change.

If you want to save time you can create your main text off-line, using any other text editor. Then when using ZyWeb Publisher you can copy the text from the editor, and paste it in the text box. This is also recommended if you want to spell check your text. Unfortunately this technique will lose any bold or italic you may have used, and you will have to re-apply these effects using embedded commands in the text.
