A Last Complete Performance is writtten and published by Ivor Buckingham and, with a mass of fascinating detail, lovingly researched, chronicles the history of cinemas in his home town of Watford, Hertfordshire. The book is exceedingly well-illustrated, with many photographs of long-departed picture palaces, programme advertisements and stars of the silver screen.
