Visitor Guide

This section provides a downloadable version of the Web site, plus plus places for information about your own property, split into 6 sections, each with and index, and currently nearly 60 pages of information.

It arose from two ideas
· We found that when in our apartment, we wanted to get at the information in the web site, yet it was one time we couldn’t. And even if we did access it, we couldn’t take it with us on a day trip, or even sit quietly reading it to plan what to do the next day.
· We had produced some notes for our friends and family to help their planning, and thought that our thoughts might be useful to others,
As it developed it became clear that it might be particularly useful to those who are renting, but that was not the primary objective.

The Getting Ready & “From Faro Airport to El Rincon Del Golf” sections were developed to be emailed to potential visitors and will clearly need tailoring to individual circumstances, but even where there are little more than headings, they might still be a useful prompt.

Similarly Section 1 – Our Property, The Development and Local Facilities will also need some input and tailoring.

It is planned that the web site and downloadable versions will generally be kept in step, but it is likely over the next year that there will be differences, and the web site is most likely to be in advance of the downloads.

It was developed with the idea that people would print it out and put it into a ring binder, probably with dividers, and at least one plastic pocket per section so that visitors could add any material they come across. Also it encourages visitors to add their own ideas, tips, comments and suggestions, both on each page and at the end of each section. You are most welcome to send me any contributions which your visitors have particularly enjoyed, or ideas on how it might be improved.
