Call Minder on Telefonica
There are 2 steps in getting Call Minder operating.
1. If your telephone line is a new number, you start by dialing 1004. This takes you into an automated process asking you to say what you want. Just say "Voicemail" and after a while you will be put through to an English speaking operator. You then say that you want to be able to receive and store voice messages. As a first step the line must be enabled, and this should take a maximum of 5 days.
(If however you have a number which has been used before and transferred to you, then you go straight into step 2.)
2. When the line is ready, again dial 1004. Then you are asked in Spanish which language do you want. It gives you a choice of Spanish, Castillian or other. Choose other and the next menu gives you a choice of English and others. At this point choose English, and from here on, its all in English, and you can change your message etc..
In July, we will be going through the process of changing a message and will record exactly what is said, as the terminology, despite being in English, is slightly ambiguous.
