When will the night end?
When will you have no pain?
My heart is in agony
As I watch you die slowly

You suffer with every breath
But oh how I ache as I cry in vain
For I can only watch your pain
And know you won't see day again

I am filled with anger
I am filled with hurt
Why do you have to go this way?
Why, why must you be in such pain?

Where is my Lord?
Where is my God?
I have prayed hard and you have too
Still I know not what He will do

When will this night end?
How long will it last?
See, you hold to breath fast
As I wait for it to be your last

Then your night will end
And my day will never...
be the same again
