On JULY 19TH 2000 DURANGO MANGO took a little "trip"
to C3TV in Cape Cod to be on "Cappy's Country Music Show!"
Cappy Paxton and his stage crew created
two quality shows of us performing "cover" songs.
They were taped, but broadcast almost immediately.
We KNOW 'Cuz when O-N Radio Bosses, were relaxing
at the Cape, they turned on the TV, and
guess who was lookin'back at them?!!
...Dave & Denise, there IS no escape!
NOVEMBER 1ST 2000---
ENDLESS HIGHWAY RECORDING STUDIO
Started operating with state of the art equipment!
Tom & Ann were listening and "tweaking" to get
the right sound in the brand spankin' new studio--
What a pleasure! A comfortable,unrushed atmosphere,
leaving the band totally relaxed and able to concentrate on
the tracks we were laying down!Clear as a bell tone,
no warble, no background noise..Pure music! Even before
the mix-down! Ann & Tom are going to be very busy
recording techs, when other musicians hear the recordings from
their new studio! Inquiries are already pouring in!
TERRIFIC!
SAT. OCT. 7 SOUTH KINGSTOWN ELKS
Another terrific time! Durango Mango's FIRST gig at this venue!
How kind they were to us...Thanks, Kay Sherman!
Of course "Murphy's Law"
on the way home... we got a flat tire.
A GREAT BIG THANK YOU!...
to the two RI State Police Officers from patrol car #62,
who came to our aid with sympathy and flashlights!
IT WAS C-O-L-D!

SUN. OCT. 29 HALLOWEEN DINNER 'N' DANCE
We had such a great turn out for our "Gourmet Meatloaf
Autumn Delight Dinner, at the American Legion in Millville, MA!
Once again the Catering King Ray Lapierre of
"WHAT'S COOKIN'? CATERERS"
put a meal together that EVERYONE raved about!
The hall was comfortably full
and so were the party go-ers!!!
There was even enough food for seconds
and then some!! If you missed
this party, Don't miss the NEXT one!
You just can't get deals on meals
like that anywhere else!
Ray, Linda & Toni know how
to make you happy!
Then there were the costumes! Whoa!
Even though Ellen Cote has
been feeling "under the weather"
she made a GREAT Vampire!
Hubby Ken, walked away with
1st place for his "Cheerleader" outfit... don't ask.
Alice & Jim Maynard along with about 15 others,
dressed for the occasion! It was fun! Entertainers, Val Leri,
Linda Lou, Ronny Bee & Charlie Walley
all came to the stage and
performed wonderfully!
Prizes were donated by Ray & Linda,
(as if they hadn't already done enough- cooking such a delicious meal!
SUN. NOVEMBER 29TH NIGHT TIME AT CLUB ICE!
JOHN GOUIN'S BIRTHDAY PARTY!
DURANGO MANGO played for this
"hair-raising" time put on by
Ken & Ellen Cote! They thought of everything...
even the gouls and goblins waiting
to "pounce" hiding in the hallway!
What a fun family!
We STILL don't know how
Ellen comes up with some of
these games she gets us to play!
Both of these Sunday gigs
were loads of fun!
We spent them with FRIENDS!
FULFILLING RED'S LAST WISHES Sunday, November 12th,
We were asked to donate our entertainment to help our friend's family--
fulfill his last wish and grant him his final resting place in Alaska.
There was NO cover charge at the door. But, the folks from CADY'S TAVERN
"piled in" and unloaded their hearts and pockets! These people didn't just donate money
to help with expenses, they gave something even more important. LOVE.
So many people pitched in to Celebrate the "LIFE" of our friend...
Greg Wadsworth, Debby Davis, David Villanova, Frank Anderson (Cady's owner)
Pat, Diane, Jane...and many others made the day special for the Desilets family.
Durango Mango is proud to have been part of this wonderful gesture of LOVE!
FRI DEC. 1 We were back at Cady's Tavern
Although Cady's doesn't feature
Country Music too often, we were greeted
with open arms! We all had a great time!
Folks were dancing and clapping and
singing along! Special Thanks to our die hard
DURANGO MANGO supporters...
Jeanne Lajoie, Pam Lucca, Bobby Mac,
Tom Ballou and Sue Allaire!
We appreciate it!

JEANNE A. LAJOIEApril 19, 1939 - October 30, 2001
Our dear friend has gone away. It seems we miss her more with the passing of the days. Something in our daily routines will make us stop and think about her.
She was an inspiration for many people including us. She was also a singer, a poet...
Jeanne brought "MAGIC" to everyone who knew her.
We miss her and wish she were back with us.
There isn't any wonder WHY there is a rose named the Jeanne Lajoie.
She was a rose in the garden of life.
We Love you, Jeanne.

Although the benefits are over, we want to share these tributes.
RED DESILETSIn memory of a good-hearted, kind and cheerful man. Red was truly a gift of love to everyone. Not once have we ever seen Red without a smile and a cheerful disposition. Red loved laughter, and made damn sure everyone around him would get caught up in it. A retired Firefighter, a man in the business of making sure everyone was safe. The perfect job for a heart as kind as his. God has welcomed a beloved son, home. Red, will be missed by so many people. Durango Mango wishes to extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Marie, and his family.
NANCY PROVENCHEROn January 3rd 2001, we had to say "goodbye" to another friend. Nancy's untimely death brought sadness to all who knew her. So many people depended upon her. She was always there to lean on. Her heart was open to everyone. Nancy had only kindness to offer, never hurtful to anyone. A hard working country music lover, who contributed to every poor soul in any way she could. She was a beautiful woman not only on the outside, but clear through. God knew it was time for her to rest. HE closed her pretty blue eyes to the cruelness and suffering of this world, and opened them to Paradise in HIS world. Our sympathy to all of Nancy's family. We will miss her terribly.
TOM DAVISOLD #7 BAND - 16TH AVENUE BAND
"...Although I only knew Tom from listening to his impeccable musical talent, I have never seen him without a smile and a kind word. Eric met Tom many years ago, and says the same of him. In fact, I don't know anyone who has ever said anything against Tom, musically or personally. That is a helluva legacy to leave. Tom Davis- Everyone's friend.
I'm sure the Lord will Bless him and take him home to the peaceful rest he deserves."
Our deepest sympathy to Tom's family--God Bless You.
