The Club is happy to announce our first junior cricket fun day for children aged 6 - 11
Report from first Junior Cricket Day Sunday 18th June 2006 The Etchingham & fontridge Cricket Club held its first Junior Cricket Day in the Queen's Garden, which was attended by more than twenty 6 to 11 year olds. The emphasis is on learning basic cricket skills following the ECB Kwik Cricket format and having fun! Lots of parents, grandparents and other family members were there either watching the children or helping out with the fielding and coaching. Adam Jacobs, EFCC Youth Liaison Officer, helped organise the event with coaches Mike Shillabeer (catching and fielding) Anthony Burke (batting) and James Studholme (bowling). A great afternoon in the sunshine was enjoyed by all. The next date is Sunday July 9th, 3pm.
