The Etchingham Community Stores makes every effort to ensure that the laws relating to age restricted products are strictly adhered to.

There is clear signage indicating that if there is any doubt about the age of a customer, some form of acceptable ID will be requested, if this cannot be produced and there is still doubt about the age of the individual, the sale will always be refused.
Only some form of ID that contains a photograph and date of birth are accepted.
A valid Passport or a photo Driving Licence are both acceptable, another form of ID that is acceptable is a "Proof of Age" card, there are three main organisations that issue these cards, The Portman Group, ValidateUK and Citizen Card.
