Chester and North East Wales Organists' and Choirmasters' Association was formed in March 1998 by the Revd Quentin Bellamy MA BMus, Vicar of Prestatyn, and the first meeting was held in the Parish Church of St Martin of Tours, Llay. The need for such an organisation has been borne out by the large membership, which is now over 100 strong. We are affiliated to the Incorporated Association of Organists, therefore, members are eligible to receive the Organists' Review, delivered to their homes each quarter, at the reduced rate of £17 per annum. Membership for the year (September to August) costs just £10, which includes your £3.00 I.A.O. Affiliation Fee. Young people, not in employment pay only £7.50. People are important to us and our events (with the exception of August, when we take a well-earned break), are held on the last Monday in the month, (although circumstances occasionally necessitate a change in this pattern). Each meeting is held at a different venue within the Chester, Wrexham, Mold and Wirral areas, with additional events in Flintshire, Denbighshire and Conwy borough. Members receive a Newsletter a few days before each event. are open to the general public and a retiring collection is taken at each event to enable the Association to express its thanks to the host venue in a tangible way (the first £30 of the collection going to the host venue). So why not join us? You may even do so via this website. If you require further information please telephone 01244 372822, Email us, or write to our Publicity Officer, Mr Raymond Harper, at 2 Highfield Road, Blacon, CHESTER, CH1 5AY.
