Repentance has brought us into this position before God which causes us to...
* Confess that we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
* Recognize that all we like sheep have gone astray and turned everyone to his own way.
* Humble our hearts before God and say, "Against thee and thee only have I sinned." |

Now...God has extended His mercy and grace to us because we have honored Him by coming through His design...Jesus Christ, who is the "WAY, the Truth and the Life." Now, we are born again and have God as our Heavenly Father.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
"Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him and he in God." (1 John 4:15)
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Rom. 10:9-10)
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." (Acts 16:16)
"Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven." (Matt. 10:32)
"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: And this is the victory that overcometh the world, EVEN OUR FAITH." (1 John 5:4)

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." (Hebrews 11:1/3)
* Historic faith is a belief in the truthfulness and accuracy of the Bible which declares the only true and living God. * Saving faith is the acceptance of God's unmerited favor which He has granted us through His Son, Jesus Christ. |

Listen to this strong foundation for hope that God has given to all mankind...
"For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end to all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto His heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: that by two immutable things (the Word and the Spirit) in which it was impossible for him to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus." (Hebrews 6:16-20)
Whosoever will may lay hold on this hope that is set before them. God has sworn by His oath... "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." (Eph. 2:8)
"For I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day." (2 Tim. 1:12)

Jesus said, "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed."
Now it is written: "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. By whom we also have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." (Rom 5:1-2)
"Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul hath no pleasure in him. But we are not of them that draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul." (Hebrews 10:38-39)
Faith is the conditional response on our part whereby we come to be partakers of all the blessings that God has promised through His Son.
Peter writes: "Whereby are given unto us these exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:4)
"But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thess.5:8-9)
We see how important it is for those who have come to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to continue in this faith.
It is written: "He that endureth to the end shall be saved." Let us summarize all that our faith requires of us IF we will make Heaven our eternal home.
* We confess that we are sinners...by faith! * We accept God's forgiveness...by faith! * We accept God's cleansing from all unrighteousness...by faith! * We confess that Jesus is the Son of God...by faith! * We believe in God's salvation...by faith! * We are justified...by faith! *We have access into this grace wherein we stand...by faith! * We live every day...by faith! * We partake of all God's blessings...by faith! * We put on the breastplate...of our faith!
