Ardgour is easily reached via the ferry at the Corran Narrows on Loch Linnhe. and is the gateway to the five areas of Ardgour, Morvern, Sunart, Moidart and Ardnamurchan, there are 15 prominent tops in the area. The Ardgour hills, in particular, are very attractive when seen from the Glen Coe area, but much better fun close hand. The furthest out point of the Ardnamurchan peninsula is the most westerly of the British mainland, on the same longitude as Dublin. Probably the last accessible wilderness in Britain Ardgour is only a couple of hours from Glasgow and Edinburgh international airports
